Carol is an affectionate and playful 2-year-old Hound mix, yet she is also very timid especially in new situations. After quickly warming up to us she now follows us around wherever we go. She will give you a lick on the face if given the opportunity and loves cuddling on the couch and resting her nose under your arm. She enjoys playing with the resident female dog and romping around outside. Carol is the best walker on a leash, usually hanging out near your side. She is timid when meeting new friends, people or pups, but warms up with some time and treats. It’s unclear how she would do with cats but due to her timid nature it’s likely she’d let them be. She’s learning to not jump on the counter or chew on socks, and she likes chewing on bones and rope toys. Carol is potty-trained and sleeps in her kennel at night. Currently the kennel is in the room where she can see her people, she gets nervous if left alone and especially anxious when people leave the house. When her people are away and her anxiety is high she does drool and occasionally urinates in her kennel, something that she will need help with in her new home. She also drools in the car, so we keep a towel handy when we bring her somewhere. Carol would do best in a home where someone will be around often, she has lots of love to give!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
