Hi I'm Chessy. I'm a 42 lb bundle of affection. Listed as a mixed Labrador and maybe Collie too. I came to MN from Texas and it was discovered I was pregnant. Once my puppies were old enough I went to another foster and now it's time for me to find my forever home.

I'm kind and gentle and LOVE people and kids. I play well with other dogs.  I love going on long walks. I'm house trained. I kennel at night and when foster is gone. I have had no accidents other than the first day at fosters.

I'd be perfect for a family as I have energy to play or calmly rest when appropriate.  I sit and come on command, but I'm learning lay down still.

I'll put my paw on you to get extra attention and my hugs because I'm so affectionate. I like car rides and will inappropriately reach my paw for your hand when you're driving.

I'm about 3 years old and am athletic when I'm running circles around other dogs when my foster visits his children and grandchildren.

My downsides are that I have separation anxiety, am a professional counter surfer when you're not looking and have been known to dig a little when I'm on my rope outside but I am working on these.

I go into my kennel at night and sleep well until my foster gets up. He kennels me when he goes out and I cry and bark when he leaves, but have no fear of the kennel.

In addition to a kennel, I'd recommend for feedings a slow feeder bowl as I scarf up my two daily feedings. I'm looking for a family to call my own. Is that you?
