Hello my name is Helena. Which means Bright, Shining Light.

I am 2 years old and came from a kill shelter in Texas and when I arrived I was very pregnant. I had my seven puppies here in Minnesota.
All the puppies have found new homes and now it's my time to shine and be a dog.
I am known as loving. I enjoy being right by your side and getting love and affection.
I love other dogs and enjoy playing with them! I just don't like ones who are overly dominant and try to push me around. In my previous foster home I liked to keep them on their toes by climbing their chain link fence. In my current foster home they have a 6 foot privacy fence and that has kept me happily contained. 
When it's time to eat, I try and bury my food or cover it up with whatever I can find.
I really love going on my walks everyday. If you are a runner that's a plus because I'll be right there next to you.
 I am good with all people from babies all the way to Seniors that I have come in contact with.
I should go to a home with no cats or female dogs as I like to be the alpha...sorry about that. Male dogs are OK.
I absolutely love car rides and would love to go places with you! I am a great best friend!!
I am kennel and house trained. When I need to go to the bathroom I talk to you and go in circles.
If you let me I love to sleep in bed with you and if you want your own space I am very content with laying on the floor right next to your bed.
With all this being said will you be my new home and my new best friend?

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $495.00
