“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.” Quote by Josh Billings | ||||

My name is Finn & I'm a very good puppy. I'm working on potty training and getting better each day. I usually go to the patio door to tell my foster family when I need to go outside, but I still have a few accidents inside. I don't mind my kennel, I've been sleeping in it at night & even for some of my naps. If I start to fuss while I'm in there, I usually need to get out & go potty. I still have troubling making it all night and sometimes need to go out really early in the morning. I start whining to wake somebody up when that happens.
I love everybody! I love to play with the grandkids when they come visit... they are 2, 3 & 5 years old. I still need reminders not to jump up on them when I get excited. When it's time for a nap, I'll snuggle if you pick me up, but I'm also happy to be on a blanket, my puppy bed or even in my kennel.
My foster family has 3 resident dogs that I get to play with. My bulldog "sisters" aren't very interested in playing but my big "brother" (doberman) loves playing with me! We run, chase & wrestle a lot. We both like chew toys and tug ropes. I follow him everywhere, especially when we go outside to play! The cat thinks I'm too playful so she hides from me most of the time. I don't chase her, I just want to get to know her.
I get startled and bark when I hear loud or strange noises (like the printer or the washing machine). It took me some practice to get accustomed to my leash, I'm doing better now. I don't mind riding in the car, I just curl up and have a nap.
I'm still learning a few rules, for instance, I like to chew on socks, shoes/slippers & people fingers. My foster family tells me "no" when I do and gives me a toy instead. I also get excited when it's time to eat, so I'm learning to wait while my dish gets filled instead of getting my nose in the way. I'm a really good boy and can't wait to have a family of my own soon!
