Gidget is the only full black puppy from the G-crew. She has a few white toes, some white on her face, and we are starting to see a patch form on her chest.

She isn’t the largest of the littler, but we expect her to be average lab size when she grows up. What she lacks in size, she makes up in personality!

Gidget is the most curious of the bunch, has a great memory, and is fearless. This makes for a puppy that is smart and focused. With training, she caught onto the quickest to basic commands. Additionally, with her memory, she has gotten used to our routines very quickly and knows what’s happening at different times throughout the day.

Gidget is food motivated and that’s helped with leash, recall, and potty training, in addition to basic commands. She knows “sit” well, but we are still working on “down” and “shake.” Given an environment away from her siblings, it won’t take long for her to catch on to those.

The first week we had the puppies, they all slept together in one big crate. After they had their spay and neuter appointment, we moved them to separate crates that are side-by-side. They do cry a little at first, but they eventually settle down for the night.

Gidget plays well with the resident dog, but she can be a little too enthusiastic about the cat. We are working with her on better manners around the cat.

Given the proper introduction and training, Gidget would make a great sporting dog for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. She also makes for a great napping partner after running around outside.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:$595.00
