Hi! I’m Mariah! I’m really super sweet. I love to follow my people everywhere. I adjust well to changes and new environments as long as I get love and pets and have toys to play with.
I’m house trained and do well in a kennel if I need to be while you’re away or at night and am quiet but I prefer to be right next to you or at the end of the bed close by.
I really like lots of exercise such as playing with other dogs, running, chasing balls or toys, and being silly, dog parks, and walks. I LOVE chew bones! They’re my favorite and I would chew on them all day long if you’d let me!
I do great in the car. I have no problem getting in any size vehicle. If you open the door I’ll hop right in without you saying anything. I just assume I’m coming with.
When I get really excited, I like to jump up on people or try to herd small kids when they’re running close by me because it’s just in my nature. I’ve been getting better at jumping less with my foster family working with me on that.
I tend to gravitate towards women more than men, but I love all people and am gentle with all sizes of people.
I pull on my leash pretty hard at first when I go on walks because I’m just happy and excited but I calm down after a while. My foster mom and dad are working on calming me down, heel, and nice leash practice so I don’t hurt myself or anyone. I’m slowly getting the hang of things.
I found out I do NOT like fireworks at all! They are really scary and give me a lot of anxiety and I would likely run away or get off my leash or chain if I was outside. My foster mom thinks gunshots might cause the same reaction. I just want to be safe inside, in a small space, and with other noise if those things are happening outside.

My foster family thinks I would do best in a home by myself or with another dog that is the same size as me so we can play! I also would do best with a family that is active and can make sure they can walk and run me. I hope to meet my new forever family soon!
