Meet Schmidt! He is the cutest, sweetest dog you’ll ever be lucky enough to meet! From day one, Schmidt has been a cuddle bug, hanging out on the couch or bed with me. Schmidt seems to bond very quickly with people- he will follow you around the house and snuggle up to you wherever you’re sitting.
Schmidt has been very good with multiple dogs at my apartment dog park and has gotten along well with my own dog. He also responded well to people we’ve passed in the hallway and met at the dog park. Schmidt loves to be lazy, but also gets silly and playful from time to time. He truly has the greatest personality. He understands how to be gentle when he’s playing and play biting, and occasionally tears around the room when he’s excited. Even in the frigid cold, Schmidt has been fantastic at learning how to potty train on a schedule. It’s important to keep him consistent, as he is learning super, super fast and has even stood at the door and asked to go potty once. He is an incredibly smart boy! Schmidt is also dry, calm, and quiet in his kennel. Schmidt hasn’t had a ton of opportunities to walk yet because of the cold, but the few times he’s walked a bit with me and my dog, he’s been so great on a leash- doesn’t pull and checks in every few seconds. In my experience, he’s incredibly easy to walk, even with a large dog. Schmidt eats and drinks well, although still tends to gulp water as if he fears it isn’t going to be available to him for long, so might need to be taken out to potty a bit more until he learns that it’s always there for him.
If you want a cuddly, cute pup who will be your best friend forever, Schmidt is your guy! He’s just such a wonderful, smart dog with a loving, fun personality.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:$525.00
