Hi my name is Lightening. The vet thinks I'm 10-11 years old. I might just be the perfect dog for you. I am the sweetest dog, very smart and am a great companion. If you are gone, you won’t have to worry about me chewing or destroying anything, because I am too mature for that silly puppy stuff. I am housebroken (except for my first day in the foster home), so I was not kennel-trained. I love my walks and don’t pull when walking. I only weigh 20 pounds, so I’m the perfect size to sit next to you on the sofa. If your yard is not fenced in, just know I don’t require much of a walk before I do my business. I don’t hear very well, so you may have to signal me to get my attention.  One skill I am working on is to not bark every time I see a dog or human walk by. I sleep in a dog bed at night or sometimes I crawl under the bed. Watch out for me when you get ready to leave the house, as I will try to follow you out. I enjoy car rides, but need help getting in the car. I have a harness to keep me safe in the back seat. I had several teeth removed, but I eat dry dog food with occasional treat of canned dog food. I will lightly touch your arm with my paw if I want to go potty or if I am hungry. My foster has another dog and we haven’t fought or growled at all. I love my naps and am not a high-energy dog. I haven’t been around children, so I don’t know whether they are chill like me.  By the way, Lightning is the name given me a few weeks ago: I have no idea who Lightning is.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX ,dental, flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $150.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
