Meet Janet. Her mom is a petite beagle but it looks like dad was most likely a different breed based on the markings on one of her siblings. She’s the most adventurous of her litter and generally the first one up in the morning ready for interaction and play. She likes playing with her litter mates, exploring the house on supervised runs and playing with toys- the rolling treat ball and puppy chews are current favorites. We’ve been working on socialization visits with a variety of people. There is a secure pen set up on the deck and so far Janet has had a number of play dates with the kids on the block, met small children supervised by parents and met female and male adults. Janet loves people. When she is in her puppy pen and her litter mates are snoozing, if I walk into the room she is the one who will open her eyes and watch what I am doing or come over for attention.

Besides playing with her mom and siblings, she has also played with one of my own male beagles who is skilled in adapting to the play styles of young canines. I also have a dog savvy resident cat who will let Janet sniff from a safe distance but will hiss if she tries to play.

She also gets short leash walks to explore the yard and get used to a leash. We are working on name recognition and eliminating on puppy pads right now. She is housed in a penned in area of the house with her two litter mates when she can’t be supervised.

She’s an energetic and adorable little girl and would love to find a forever home with a loving family where she can continue to learn new skills and have new adventures. She is adaptable but would love a household where she had the ability to burn off her puppy energy and could be the center of attention.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:$595.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
