Hi my name is Olaf. I am a very good dog and very sweet, but I am extremely shy and untrusting of my humans around me. I must have had something bad happen to me when I was younger, because people make me very nervous and very reserved, but every day I’m learning how to trust humans and be a dog again  It took me a few days to trust my foster dad. Now I follow him around everywhere. I sit with him, I snuggle him and my favorite thing to do is to sleep with him. He shares his pillow and his covers. It’s the best time of the day. I also like being around my foster mom and follow her everywhere she goes, and sit very patiently watching her work during the day.  Even though I am so shy, I do not lash out or nip or growl. In fact my Mom has never heard me bark or make any noise at all.  My foster mom and dad keep reassuring me that no one will ever hurt me again and that I am truly loved, so that helps.  There are four other resident dogs who live with me. I'm am good with all the other dogs. Even the two old crabby chihuahuas. I just love to play outside with Dixie. Run around the yard. Go for walks. My foster dad says I’m really good on my leash. I do like to ride in the truck with my foster dad, but I’m just a little nervous about where we are going and always happy when we come back home. I do like to go for walks and I am a very good walker. I have only had a couple of accidents in the house (I was very scared and nervous when I first got there) but since being here I’m 100% house trained and go outside. I have also learned to willingly go in my kennel. In fact when it’s time for my foster parents to leave, they tell me “kennel up” and I go right in there. My foster dad is so proud of me. There are no little humans that live with us, but when the grandkids come over it just takes me a bit to trust them as well. My new parents need to be patient with me and keep encouraging me to come out of my shell.  I know I can be the perfect dog for someone if given the chance. 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $495.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
