Hi! My name is Happy. My foster moms say my name fits me perfectly because I'm always happy! Some people thought my name was Troy instead of Happy when I came into rescue but my foster moms quickly caught on that it is indeed Happy! I would love to be with a family that is active and will play with me. I would love some room to run too! I love to play fetch with the tennis ball! I’m working on the drop command but I just love the tennis ball so much I don’t want to put it down! I LOVE being outside as that is what I’m used to since I used to roam around the Lake Traverse Indian Reservation prior to being in rescue. It took me a minute to figure out how to be inside dog but now my foster moms tell me that I’m a Velcro pup! I love to be right next to them but if they tell me to go lay down I typically will. I am potty trained and I am also crate trained with a little whining sometimes, but usually a firm no from my Foster moms will assure me they’re still there and I will be quiet. I know the commands come, sit and down. Stay is still a work in progress but I am learning with these delicious things called treats! I wait for my food like a good boy and I’ve learned to wait until I hear the word “Ok” then I gobble it all up! I get along well with the two resident dogs at my foster home and as long as I have proper introductions I should do fine with other dogs. I am intrigued by cats and have chased my Foster cat but when my foster parents tell me no, I will stop. I haven't been around kids a whole lot but when I'm outside I love to watch the neighborhood kids play and when they come up to the fence I just sniff their hands and wag my tail! Overall my foster moms say I’m a very good boy who just needs a family that will love me as much as I love them!
