Hello, my name is Hardy. I am a 2- year old Bluetick Coon Hound mix. I am fully house trained and potty trained! I do like to sniff the garbage can, but I’m always told no so I leave it alone and go find something else to do. I am kennel trained, but I would rather not be in it. I eat, sleep and go in when my foster family leaves the house. When they are home, I would rather be out with the family. When I’m out, I like to snuggle on the couch with my foster family or lay on the floor and take a nap. I also like to roll and scratch my back all over the carpet. There are kids that live in my foster home and with the kids out of school now, more kids come over. I like them all. Sometimes I do like to still mouth peoples arm and hands, but I’m only wanting to play and I don’t hurt anyone. I’m still young and I should grow out of it. There are other dogs in my foster home and I like to play them or I can just keep myself entertained. So I don’t need to have a doggy friend if I have you. Contrary to normal Coonhounds, there are cats in my foster home and I couldn’t care less about them. I want to play with them at times. I’d love to go for a walk, but I need some work on learning that I’m not the one who is choosing the speed of our walk. When it comes to car rides, I love those! I will never turn down a car ride. I lay in the backseat and just take a nap or look out the window. As long as I'm with you, it doesn't matter what or where we are, I'll be happy. I do have a little energy, but I can still lay on the couch and snuggle with you and I can still play and roll around on the floor. My foster mom laughed at me when I was on the couch one day and I was rubbing my head and back and fell on the floor. I looked around like I was looking to see if anyone saw that. I enjoy playing with the kids or getting them to play with me. I also like to play with some toys and throw them up in the air and go get them. I also, of course, love to nap and lay on the couch. I don't mind trying to play with one of the cats in my foster home when he comes down where I can reach him. During the summer, while my foster mom goes to work, I'm not in my kennel all day. The kids let me go outside and wander the house. The most I've been in my kennel during the day is 8 hours while my foster mom goes to work when the kids had to go to school. I have been waiting for my forever family for over a year now. Could I possibly get my one wish and it be you? I really am a good boy. I promise, I will be a good boy for you for the rest of my life, if I am just given the chance.
