Sansa is a husky mix born approx. 1/3/21. She is a dream puppy and is going to fit in so well with someone!

She is working on being house trained and is doing really well!  She is very comfortable in her kennel and sleeps through the night!  She will "complain" for a little bit when she is kenneled during the day but eventually settles down.  Being part husky, her “complaining” is a little loud, but it is short lived.
She is SO GREAT with our kids and with the neighbor kids.  Although she is pretty nibbly (see definitions of husky puppies!), she understands when we correct her with a loud “NO” or “grrr” and is learning to chew on dog toys and bones, not people. We keep a good stock of toys around and she will play alone when we are not with her. We do not have a cat, so we cannot speak to how she would be with cats.  She gets along great with our resident dog, inviting her to play and roaming around the backyard together.  Sometimes her invitations to play are also kind of loud-she is a husky after all!  I see the potential for her to want to be the dominant dog perhaps, so, like with ALL DOGS, I recommend getting into a training program.  Sansa is very eager to please!  She responds well to praise and I expect her to be easy to train.

She is, seriously, going to be a fantastic pet for someone!

She hasn't been on walks or many car rides yet so we can't say how she will do for those. She DOES follow us around the yard and come running to be petted when we call to her.

Her current energy level is typical puppy.  Loves to chew and play.  But then settles down for naps.  She is currently laying behind me on my yoga mat as I write this.  She adores chasing things that are thrown for her, and frequently brings them back without any prompting.  She loves climbing into your lap for a short and intense pet, then moves off to play with whatever is “out there” in the world. She is very comfortable outside in our yard. She loves us to be with her, but doesn’t mind when we go inside and leave her on her own.  A great blend of loving, yet independent.
This dog is rapidly turning into one of our easiest foster pups and should make a great pet!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595.00
