Rosie is my name and I am one of the cutest and attentive dogs you will find. However, I am still puppy-like: I love to chew and pull out stuffing from my toys, so a kong or tennis ball is a neater toy alternative.

I am housebroken. When I have to go potty, I just go to my mom and paw her arm.  But I paw for a lot of reasons. I love attention – lots of it. With a treat, I will go in my kennel and won’t fuss if you are in the same room with me. In fact, I will take a nap in the crate. At bedtime, I love to cuddle up with my foster mom. I come whenever you call my name.  I sit on command – just long enough to take things out of my mouth that I’m NOT supposed to have. I need appropriate chewable things like rawhides. I am not very big and only weigh 33 pounds, but I stand tall and jump taller, so I can reach anything you put within 6 inches of the edge of the counter. I am good on the leash, but lately, I have become the protector of my foster mom and bark at other dogs and people that approach us on the walk. There was a cat in my backyard one day, and I barked at it, but didn’t chase it. I am dog friendly in my backyard when neighbor’s dogs come to play.

Note from foster mom: If you have ever seen the movie, “Marley and Me”, you will know that this high energy young dog who is about one year old, is going to mature into one of the best dogs you will have. A fenced in yard is great, since she loves running at top speed, but keep an eye that she doesn’t try to dig out under the fence. She loves running with my dog, but my other dog gets tired out from her because he is about 7 years old. I don’t know how Rosie would be if left alone all day, but I will be gone for a few hours and she is fine with no damage to anything (other than a stuffed toy). It’s hard to know what breed Rosie is, but she is really cute!
