Hi! My name is Weasley! I’m a 2 year old shepherd mix rescued from a high kill shelter and I’m just starting to come out of my shell with my foster family. I started out very timid and open hands or movements that are too quick from humans make me nervous. I’m great with other dogs though and my foster brother’s energy doesn’t bother me at all! My foster mom says that I am a total sweetheart who is learning to accept love and affection. I want to be close to her as much as I can and love when she gives me pets and cuddles. I do well in my kennel but may need a small bribe if I think you’re going to close me inside. I do go in and out of it on my own otherwise. It’s my safe space! Leashes are kind of tough for me. My instinct is to pull back but if I trust you I will easily go with you in the yard or on walks. So far I’m quiet, even when my foster brother barks a lot, and always go outside to potty (I’ve had no accidents in the house or my kennel!). My foster family doesn’t have any kids or cats so I’m not sure how I feel about them. I’m starting to get more curious as I open up and am learning what not to chew on but foster mom says it’s just normal puppy stuff and I’m easy to redirect. I’m good at listening but don’t really know commands yet. I respond much better to a gentle soothing voice than harshness or reprimanding. I  get scared easily and try to crouch to the floor or back away. My foster mom says I’m already so loyal and loving! My dream family would be patient when I’m skittish, have a nice fenced yard where I don’t have to be on my leash to potty, and have another dog because I love to play! Is that you?!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
