Update:

Cricket is a dog that is slooooow to trust.  She came in to rescue very scared with trust issues. After 19 months she is doing much better.  She still does not like to be touched and will not choose to sit by you.   She is content sitting with the other dogs.  However, if I approach her slowly she may allow a pet or two.  I always sneak a pet in when petting the others   Gets along well with other dogs.  She does not like the leash and does not walk well on the leash.  She is mouthy and should not go to a family with kids or teenagers coming and going.  She is kennel trained and house trained.  Uses pee pads in winter.  Cricket needs experienced owner who will show her love and direction and can work through her nipping tendencies. She has learned trust but the first 16 months were rough. Cricket does not do well with strange people and should be kenneled when having company. She is a happy girl and loves the morning. Treat oriented. Travels in crate to and from the vet. Added precautions (leashes etc) as she is flight risk.

Cricket is a 3-year old terrier mix. She had a rough start but has come along way since arriving May 2021. Upon arrival Cricket was very fearful .  She is slow to warmup but with time she has made great strides. She is playful in her own quirky way and gets along with all types/sizes of dogs.  She is house trained and kennel trained and will use pee pads in winter as she's not a fan of the cold.

She is very treat motivated and  working on sitting in foster mom’s lap for minutes at a time and leaving the kennel nicely.  She’s almost there.   If you are looking for a dog to give you lots of affection- she maybe is not your dog.  After 7 months she allows pats on head and a few kisses from her human.  Slow to trust but she’ll get there!

Some say she isn’t a beautiful dog but to know her and what she has conquered makes her shine in my eyes.  She is a flight risk but taking necessary precautions will keep her safe.

I believe she will need another confident dog in the home.  Fenced yard is a must do to flight risk.

If I could have one word to describe her it would be quirky.  She loves morning. She plays like she’s a tough girl with her tiny Grrrrrs in the morning.  She’s just happy!!!   LOVES food and very treat motivated.  She is usual first in to get treat.  Sometimes if I kennel her 3rd she will have this low sweet cry like reminder  “don’t forget me”!  When leaving the kennel she shoots out straight across and banks off footstool twists in mid air to head straight to the door leading outside HILARIOUS

I absolutely love her and with continued efforts will be a great family member!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00
