My name is Charlotte, I'm a 1-year-old Airedale Terrier mix! I am a low shedding breed with super cute curls. My foster family is really enjoying their time with me & I like them too, as long as I can see them! I am pretty low energy, but every once in a while, I get excited and want to pounce around and play, like a typical puppy! When I do get excited I can play nip but we have been have been working on it and she is getting much better. I haven't had any accidents and find my person/whine when I need to go out! I have been doing great on a leash, I walk or run with whoever is with me & I don't pull! My foster family also really likes that I don't bark at passing strangers, unless they've got another dog with them. I haven't really enjoyed the resident dogs. I really need to go to a home with another dog so we can be kenneled next to each other. I do not do well being kenneled alone but do not mind if I have a friend next to me. I really like kids but not so much little ones crawling on me or pulling my hair so I would do better with other kids that understand my boundaries. When invited on the furniture, I hop up and then right back down. I also haven't chewed on anything I'm not supposed to! I'm still not even sure what to do with these toys they have. My foster family thinks I must really like people food and because I'm so tall, I try to counter surf for snacks... but I get down when I'm told. I'm still not quite sure what they mean when they tell me to "sit" and "stay" but they do get my attention when they tell me "No" when I'm trying to chew off my harness. My foster Mom was warned that I might be a flight risk (and a fence climber! Remember, I'm a tall girl), but so far, I've done great on a leash and lead outside the house and haven't tried to sneak out any doors! I know I'll be the best girl as soon as the perfect family finds me!
