Hi! My name is Ringo. I am a 1-2 year old basset mix.  The first thing you should know about me is that I’m a big mama’s boy and I’m very shy at first so please no loud noises or fast movements. I am getting very comfortable with my new foster family and have shown no food aggression or behavioral issues. :) I have had a few accidents in the house but I was more marking my territory than peeing. My foster family has learned I can open screen doors with a handle on them but I do come when I’m called. My foster mama is working with me on some basic manners and I do go in my kennel but I’m not a fan because I want to be with you and see you.

I am really a very happy pup looking for a forever home of my own! I love getting kisses, going on car rides, rubs under my chin, snuggles, going on walks and playing of course. I also do very well with my foster family’s littles ( 16 yr, 11 1/2 yr and 5 1/2 yr) and my foster family’s doggie friends ( 5 yr Lab and 2 1/2 yr lab). I do seem to have separation anxiety and tend to bark and scratch at the door when my foster mama leaves. My foster dad is trying to work with me to reassure me she’ll come back.  :)

If my foster mom pets her other doggies I do tend to get jealous and growl but it’s just because I want my mama to myself. I would not do well in an apartment because I do bark a lot if left alone. I would definitely do well in a home where someone can be with me all day. I am a sweet and loving boy who would be a great addition to your household!
