Hi there! My name is Lexi! I'm a 2-year old Pomeranian. I have been in my foster home since the end of May and I haven't found the right family yet, but I know they're out there!  I thought for sure I'd find a new home right away because I'm absolutely adorable, sweet, silly and smart, and I am incredibly affectionate! I'm pretty easy going most of the time and am looking for the perfect person to share my life with or even a whole family! Everyone I meet falls in love with me!

I'm looking for someone that wants adventures, like going to breweries, playing ball or going for walks.  However, I'm also up for a quiet night snuggling up and giving kisses in my favorite pizza pajamas or blanket and watching a movie on the couch.  I would really appreciate it if you share a few snacks with me though during the movie.  I'll do some tricks for you to earn them though.  My favorite trick is to spin or speak.  I also like to do a cute little crawl and I'm working on giving you my paw consistently. I love to chew bones and play with toys and will put on quite a show for you with my silly antics.  I sleep in my kennel at night right now without any argument but I would love to sleep in bed with you if you're into that sort of thing.

I stay in my kennel during the day while my foster family is at work and am a very good girl.  They work long hours sometimes and I'm totally fine with it and happy to see them when they return!  Just toss a treat in my kennel and say "kennel" and I'll run right in.

I arrived with some resource guarding issues I have worked through, so as long as you're willing to set some boundaries and keep up on my training, I'll be just fine sharing my toys and food with you.  Previously, before ending up in rescue, I lived with kids and cats, but my current foster family doesn't have any of those.  They do have two small dogs and I do just fine around them.  I really enjoy the company of other dogs choosing to hang out with them most of the time.  Although I'd probably be just fine without another dog in the home as long as you let me hang out with you! People are more important!

I love to run around and chase balls and squirrels in the yard and just lay on the patio.  I can do stairs and jump on and off furniture without any issues.  I walk relatively well on a leash but get excited when I see other dogs and people, but we're working on polite greetings. I ride in the car in my kennel just fine.  I do like to bark though, when I see or hear things outside or when I'm excited to eat or want you to play with me.  I am learning to be quiet when asked, but might not be the best apartment dog at the moment.

I am the best dog ever for grooming.  l love my baths, brush outs and even the blow dryer! I don't even care about nail trims!  I enjoy being pampered and looking pretty!

There's just one teeny tiny thing you should know about me....I have a spinal cord injury. I can run, jump and play like any other dog so you wouldn't even know it by looking at me.  What I can't do is sit or squat. As a result, I don't have complete control over my bladder or booty functions.  I have these adorable washable diapers I love wearing that make it easy to manage.  I do have some control and can go potty outside and do well on a schedule.  So, if you're willing to wash my diapers and love me as I am, I will give you all the silly antics, kisses and snuggles you can handle!  I know even with my special needs, my perfect family is out there!
