Joe is a sweet Terrier mix puppy who is about 3 months old! Joe had a very unfortunate start to life- his home was broken into and he, and his brother were both hit in the head with shovels. Joe was fortunate enough to survive and needed his eye removed after coming out of its socket along with needing multiple teeth removed. His medical expenses and care were too much for the family, and they decided to surrender him to their local rescue which then led Joe to No Dog Left Behind. This sweet boy hasn't let his traumatic past stop him!! Joe is so outgoing, friendly and loving. He adores playing with his 3 young human foster kids and the 3 pups in the house. He is almost fully potty trained (only 2 accidents!!), and is fully crate trained as well. Apartments may not be best as there are a LOT of shared walls, but a townhome or single family would be ok. He may bark for a few minutes when you first leave but settles quickly. He knows how to crate up and goes to bed all night just fine. Joe is working hard on his manners and sits anytime he needs something, and is working at mastering some other skills (down, shake, and stay). Joe walks well for a pup his age on leash- he pulls but with training and patience I know he will master that with ease! This boy is smart and very treat motivated! Joe prefers to ride in the car out of the crate, but will settle down after a bit in the crate too. We are working on barking at inappropriate times but he's a puppy and just so excited to see everyone! He is doing great with slow intros to my cats. He is a true puppy and is a bit overly excited but is adjusting to them being around very well. Are you Joe's furever home?!!?
