Oscar is a sweet and energetic 1.5- 2 year old Chihuahua and Dachshund mix (Chiweenie or Choxie). He loves to follow you around, sit on your lap and get all of the affection. Oscar is house trained and loves to go on walks, although he's learning leash basics. He gets along with other dogs and cats and would be great in a home with another pet to play with or as an only pup. He does have separation anxiety and pretends he is not crate trained for the first 15 minutes, but he settles down and sleeps through the night as long as he can see his humans.

Oscar has some funny personality quirks. He grunts and growls when he is getting attention or affection. It can be startling at first, but it is not aggressive, that is just how he shows happiness! He is also afraid of small children. Due to these two reasons, Oscar would do best in a home without kids.

He comes when called and understands "no" and "sit" . He'll need some more obedience training for leash pulling and stay but should pick it up quick. Oscar would do best in a home that could give him lots of attention and affection.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $450.00
