Are you looking for a small, affectionate companion animal? Roscoe is the dog for you! Roscoe’s age and breed are unknown, but he is thought to be an older shih tzu mix-possibly around 10 years old. He looks like he could be an old man, but he is also quite agile – Roscoe is able to run upstairs, jump on the couch, and can bolt down the street quite quickly if given the opportunity! Roscoe does well with the two small senior dogs living in his foster home. Roscoe also does a good job giving other animals space. He would rather be cuddling up to a human anyways! Roscoe has not spent time around kids or cats while with his foster family, but Roscoe is really easy going and would likely do well with other animals and kids of any age. Roscoe loves being held, pet, and sitting in laps or right up next to people – even people he just met! Roscoe has an underbite, and when he first came to No Dogs Left Behind, he had two distinct lower teeth that stuck out. After a trip to the vet for teeth cleaning, the sticking out teeth had to go. Don’t worry, we still included some pre-dental pics to show off his toothy grin! Roscoe now has four teeth left and the vet recommends annual teeth cleanings. Roscoe has a couple other quirky features, including a tongue and tail that both seem to have been injured in the past. Roscoe also came with a pretty hefty ear infection that is now almost cleared up. He will still need regular ear cleanings. Roscoe is usually pretty quiet, but he does usually give a small whimpery-cry that is helpful for communicating if he wants to go outside or needs something. Roscoe does have accidents around his foster home; however, he does well with using pee pads if they are available. When left alone, Roscoe has been staying in a gated kitchen with the two resident dogs. His foster family usually returns to find each dog sleeping peacefully in a separate bed. At bedtime, Roscoe likes to sleep in the human bed and he is a great cuddler. He will stay near even if he is not being pet. Roscoe loves attention and would do well with a person or family who is able to spend lots of time sitting near him. He is sure to melt your heart when he nuzzles up into your chest and gazes up at you with his big, loving eyes. This sweet dog is foster-fail material, so you better apply before his foster family decides to keep him for good!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $125.00
