Maddie is an adorable girl that is as sweet as her name! She has truly been one of the easiest fosters I have had. From her lovable eyes to her easy-going demeanor, you cannot resist her charm. Maddie loves other dogs and people. She has spent a lot of time around three family dogs ranging in age from 1.5 yrs to 14.5 yrs and size from small to X-Large. She also lives with a cat. Maddie does really well with  the cat and seems to have a sense that the 14.5 yr older dog is not wanting to be bothered. She plays well with the small dog, even though he can get crabby when Maddie plays with his favorite toy. Although she has not yet been around children, when she hears them playing outside, she lights up; I can tell she would enjoy playing with them. She doesn’t jump up and she is not mouthy, which is a perfect match for children. When introduced to new humans and their furry friends, Maddie has exhibited excellent manners for a young puppy!

Maddie is kennel trained and potty-trained on a schedule. At 12 weeks she sleeps through the night without needing to have a potty break! I have only heard her bark when playing. She loves being outside and will just sit and take in her new world. We were outside during the loud fireworks that were going all around us and she didn’t have any reaction. Maddie is a Velcro pup. She will follow you everywhere to ensure that you are not having fun without her! This is typical for a rescue pup and her independence has already begun to grow.  Although she is great on a leash, when we leave the safety of her yard, she is a bit unsure. Continual socialization will help her to realize there is so much more fun out there! Maddie would love to meet you to show just how special of a girl she is!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595
