Hello…. My name is Jasmine. I weigh about 55#s, I am approximately 2 years old according to the vet but my foster mom believes I am younger; she says I still have too much of my puppiness in me. She’s usually right so I agree with her. So here’s my story….. I was born on the reservation and at some point became a stray wandering on my own. I got pregnant and I know God was smiling down on me because he allowed a group to find me and get me into a foster home just in time to have my babies. Two weeks later my puppies and I landed at my current foster home. She was just supposed to be temporary but decided she couldn’t part w/me and my little group . I am so happy she kept us. She adopted my 6 husky / shepherd x puppies to great homes and now it is my turn. Don’t get me wrong, I love my foster home and foster mom. She has given me the best life I’ve ever had. But the truth is as she keeps reminding me that I deserve my own family where I will get more love and attention than she can give me. She tries but she works full time and has 3 dogs of her own. She tells me this is not fair to me, I am too great of a dog to not have my own everything. She tells me to call you to me. I am trying, is it working? Could you be my family? She said I need to tell you what I like; I love to chew on knuckle bones, play (I play like a puppy), lay or sit with my foster mom. I sleep either on the floor next to her side of the bed or at her feet on the bed. She doesn't mind me on the bed because for some reason, I shed very little. Foster mom said I have become the best dog. I listen very well and I know some commands; off, leave it, and come. Foster mom uses “OFF” rather than down because off means lay down, not get off whatever I’m not suppose to be on. I go to work with my foster mom who works at a doggy day care. I am crate-trained but I don’t need to be crated any more. I used to go in a crate while she went to work but now if I don’t go with her I do not have to be crated. I am house trained and do best on a schedule. I am learning not be intimidated by new people or dogs. I do bark for a little bit at people when they come into my house but once I know they are staying and mean no harm, I stop barking at them. My only CHRISTmas wish is to have a family of my own who will love me, play with me, take me on walks (I love walks), and let me sleep with them. Could you, would you be my own family and love me?
