Hey ya'll, I'm Rain! Pretty aptly named since about the time I came up from Kentucky, so did the rain! My 8 brothers and sisters and I were rescued in Kentucky where we were found living under a trailer in raw sewage - EW! They tell me I am a heeler mix puppy born approx. 5/20/21 and around 10 pounds. I do have those Heeler markings, as do some of my littermates, but Mom thinks I look like a Min Pin - who knows? Rescue pups are often a mystery. Some of my littermates look like Doxy's with short legs and long ears, but I have long legs, and my perky ears are absolutely adorable! I don't have that annoying Heeler habit of biting the ankles of people and dogs to herd them, and Mom is glad for that! She already has one of those dogs here!

I live with 3 big dogs and love them ALL - especially the grumpy old grandpa dog! Unfortunately, my love is unrequited. He grumps and snarls at me like CRAZY (Mom doesn't know why because he's usually pretty tolerant of puppies)! I show him my belly then, but unlike other pups Mom has fostered, I still keep trying to make friends with him instead of ignoring him. The other two dogs like to play with me and steal my puppy toys. I won't play chase with them in the yard though, cuz they are WAY too wild for me! I got to meet some older kids when I went to a temp foster one weekend, and you know what? They like to cuddle too! I LOVED them!

I'm pretty much potty trained, but Mom and Dad have a door on the garage that leads to the backyard, and if they leave it open, I'd much rather do my business in the garage rather than on the grass - that counts, doesn't it? I whine when I have to go potty. In fact, that's about all I ever have to say unless something scares me. I LOVE to cuddle in your lap - all the time! And you know what? I'm a sweet Southern lady so I don't even nibble on you! I sleep all night in the kennel next to the bed and don't make a peep until morning. Car rides are EXCELLENT but I'm untested outside the car kennel.

Mom swears I have an old soul, because other than the occasional case of the zoomies, I love to play gently with my toys and snuggle with my people. Right now I have a fenced yard, so I haven't been on a leash much, but Mom says we are going to something called the cabin this weekend and I will have to be on a leash. I guess we'll know if I like that or not soon!

My Mom and Dad have had a LOT of puppies I'm told, but they say I can't stay here forever cuz there are other puppies that need to be saved. So I guess I'm in the market for what they call a "forever family". Maybe it's yours!
