Alexander is a Aussie mix born approx. 12/25/20.    When Alexander first arrived with his foster family, he was very scared of people.    He would run and hide anytime we looked at him or if he heard a loud noise.    After only a couple days his personality really started to come through; he’s really starting to warm up to the idea of affection and how it feels to be loved by humans.    He loves to play tug-a-war with his toys and run around with the two resident dogs we have.    He growls and barks at anyone that is not familiar to him and has a harder time adjusting to males, he even barks at them when he hears their voices on the TV – He just wants to be a protector.    He is not potty trained, or crate trained as of yet, but he is learning very quickly!    When he sleeps in his crate at nighttime, he will only whine for a few min until you have a talk with him and tell him he’s okay and then he sleeps all night without a fuss.    He doesn’t go potty in his crate but has occasionally had some accidents in the house.    He likes treats and food but only when he gets them from the people he trusts – the fosters neighbor brings a treat over every day for the resident dogs, but the little guy still won’t take one from him.    He loves getting belly rubs, giving unexpected little kisses, and really loves getting rewarded with attention when he does something good (ie: potty outside and when get gets let out of his kennel in the morning after being a good boy all night).   He has recently started enjoying following his foster mom around the house everywhere and sitting there looking at her waiting for scratches.  He’s such a good puppy and is just looking for his furever home to show him all the love and patience he deserves.
