Miss Roxy is an amazing girl who is looking for someone to spoil her. She has spent 6 years outdoors living on a short chain in South Dakota, surviving those hot summers and snowy winters. Despite her past, she is the most mellow, warm, and loving dog and is fantastic with all people, including kids. She is completely potty and crate trained. She is good with dogs when she is off leash and leaves cats alone. She can be a little reactive to dogs when she is on a leash, but has been doing fantastic with redirection when we see other dogs. She also loves to chase squirrels! Because of that, a home with a fenced yard would be ideal and allow her to run around freely and burn off her energy. Despite her older age she still has plenty of spunk left and can keep up on multiple daily walks and she loves to run! After being introduced to a new area, she walks well on a leash. The water and Minnesota lakes also makes Roxy very happy to splash around in. She rides well in the car, though can be a little anxious, and she still hasn’t quite grasped the concept of toys yet. So far we’ve only left Roxy alone for a few hours at a time, and during that time she is completely quiet and content. If you are looking for a gentle and mellow companion who still loves to explore the outdoors, Roxy is the girl for you!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dental, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $295.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
