Sage is thought to be a Shepherd mix born 9/26/21. His mom is only 58 lbs and looks to be a Shep/Golden although he looks like he's going to be on the bigger side as he is 20 lbs already. He’s been well socialized, met children and cats LOVES people and has grown up in an enriching environment. He sleeps through the night in his kennel for 8-9 hours and we are working on crate training during the day. He loves to play with our dogs big and small. He is very rambunctious and would love dog playmate that can match his energy level. He is a puppy after all. He loves walks and does great on a leash. He also does great in the car and just snuggles in to take a nap in the seat. He is in the puppy nibbling stage so we are learning to be gentle with our mouths. This will get better with time as his puppy teeth come out. He's been great with our older children (10 and 12) but probably not best with young children until he is older or with supervision. He's been doing great at going potty outside most of the time but hasn't figured out how to tell us quite yet. We've been taking him out frequently and getting to know his schedule. He loves getting rewarded with his favorite treats so he will catch on eventually:) He can sit and shake on command and is a quick learner. He'd love a home of his own. Is that you?

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
