Hello, my name is Abilene, named after Abilene, TX where my mom, brother and I came from in search of a better life and a loving home. I was born approx. 8/2/21. I had a rough start, but my mom made sure my brother and I were safe and now we're so happy to be off the streets and in a warm, safe environment.
My foster mom says I've really come out of my shell since arriving.  I arrived thin, scared, and unsure of things like crates and stairs, but I am quickly learning how  to "dog" from my foster brother and sisters and am your typical puppy who is active, loves toys, playing, running, treats & bones!
I absolutely love pets and kisses and snuggling on your lap.  I sleep the whole night in my kennel with no accidents and am getting better at potty training every day!  As long as you keep me on a regular schedule to go outside, I will do my business there no problem.
I am a medium energy dog.  I do like to run in the yard to get some energy out. I also will go into my kennel for a few hours at a time when my foster mom needs to run errands with no complaint.  She will give me a treat when I go in which I absolutely love!  I am good with kids, other dogs, and even the resident cat. We haven't had a chance to do much walking on a leash, but I have a good temperament, am very smart, and quick to learn new things.  I love playing chase with my sister in the yard and also just love hanging out on the couch snuggling with my foster mom or snuggling with my sister and mom.  We love to be touching when we sleep!

I would make a great addition to your family and can't wait to meet you!
