Addie is a very scared 5 year old, 50 lb. Bearded Collie.  Her hair had to be cut because of severe matting.  Addie has spent her life as a breed dog  with limited interaction. She is very timid, shy and scared!!! Everything in this world is new to her! Because of her fear she refused to leave our laundry room.  She would lay in the same spot or sit like a statue. She had to be carried outside and  we would have to go outside to get her back in. We spent multiple hours everyday just sitting in the laundry room with her hoping for her to lift her head, to look at us or a small tail wag. We spent equal amount of time just outside the door way talking to her thinking she would at some point stand up and willing walk over to us. It took over 8 weeks, before we got that small tail wag. Before she walked out of the laundry room and before she walked up to us to let us touch her. She has A LONG way to go.... Baby steps. Addie needs a family with  time and patience. She would be willing to share her family with a calm dog to help her  on her journey to confidence.  If there are children in her future home they would need to be  polite and dog savvy.  They would have to understand her fears  and be willing to accept parent directed boundaries. Addie does not have any dog cues, she is not able to tell you her needs. She likes to play with our resident dogs but refuses to play with us or toys. Noises scare her. The sound of a dresser closing will cause her to run for cover. I am sure Addie's furever family is out there somewhere... in the meantime we will continue to love her while she waits.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $395.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
