Luna is a super smart, super sweet Shiba Inu. She’s 1.5 years old, 24lbs, and is house trained, kennel trained and walks well on a leash (but if any bunnies or squirrels wander by, hold on tight!) She is a funny combination of curious and skittish. She wants to sniff passersby on walks, but darts away when they try to pet her. Everything happens on her terms, in true Shiba fashion.
She’s a medium/low energy pet and loves napping in her kennel during the day but does get territorial when other dogs in the household go near her things or are in her space. Her things are HER things. Aside from that, she doesn’t seem to have issues with other dogs out on walks and actually wants to go say hi, but should be in a household with no other animals where she doesn’t have to “protect” her things. Her current foster does not have any other animals or children and Luna is thriving — still curious and a bit timid, but so incredibly sweet and loyal. Luna would also appreciate a calm environment so households with young children are not recommended. Again, as a Shiba, it’s on her terms. Please do research on the breed before considering.
She knows the command “sit” and usually does so if treats are involved. Luna is the ideal pet for someone without other animals or young children who wants a sweet young dog without all the puppy stuff.
