Hi, my name is Daisy, but my foster mom says they should’ve called me Smiley instead. I'm a 2-year old, 58 lb. golden retriever mix.  Daisy Doo is my “given” name but I like just Daisy better so that’s what I come to. I was born on a reservation so I get along with all dogs. Nobody knows exactly how old I am but my foster dad & mom think I’m 1-2 years old. I came to No Dog Left Behind the end of September VERY pregnant, in fact I started having my babies in the transport van. Some really nice people at the rescue helped me deliver the rest of my puppies at the office. I had 11 however one didn’t make it. I was a wonderful mother to my 10 puppies but now it’s my turn to have fun and get all the love and snuggles. And boy do I love snuggles. My favorite place is wherever my people are. Mom says she can’t resist my sweet eyes when I look at her. Her favorite thing is how I look right into her eyes; she says she thinks I am looking at her soul. My least favorite place is in the kennel. I cry for a while when they put me in it but eventually quiet down. I would prefer to sleep with them! I come when called and know sit. I get really excited to see people and want to let them know. Mom & dad keep telling me “off” and that it’s not polite to jump up as a greeting. I’m learning that as well as leash manners. I am also learning what things are OK for me to chew on and what I shouldn’t chew. I love chewing antlers and hard bones but if there is a shoe on the floor I think it’s mine. I really like chasing balls and sometimes bring them back. Oh by the way I do know that we potty outside, not in the house!  They keep saying I am so sweet and gentle. When I get treats I am so appreciative that I don’t grab them or eat them too fast. Some little people came to visit and I was super excited at first. Mom kept saying I needed to settle down so I didn’t knock them over. It didn’t take me long to figure out the littles are great snugglers. I will need to be reminded to be calm but I would never be mean to a child. When new people come in I may be a little scared and bark but once I meet them and they give me pets I love them. There are a lot of pretty decorations around the house. Mom says they are for Christmas and if I am a good dog Santa will bring me some treats or a toy. What I really want is a family of my own. If you love to snuggle, play and go for walks I think you would be the perfect family. If you have another dog or know one or two that I could play with that would be a bonus. Mom & dad say they will make sure I go to a furever home that deserves an amazing dog. Could that be you?

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $495.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
