This is Carrie! She is a 1-year-old, 40-lb lab mix who was recently rescued from a hoarding house in Kentucky. She is shy around new people and dogs at first, but once she is comfortable she is the most fun, silly, and sweet girl. Her favorite activities are playing with squeaky toys and tennis balls, cuddling up on the couch, and following her humans around the home. She is very affectionate and playful with people she trusts. We are unsure how she is with cats or kids. She does well in a crate overnight but sometimes whines. Her whine is more like a whistle and is very quiet.

She has demodectic mange and needs medicated baths 2-3x per week. Because of this she is kind of stinky, and she itches a lot. She resource guards her food bowl when other dogs are nearby. As long as her food bowl is taken away after each meal she is fine around other dogs. She does not exhibit any aggressive behavior towards humans. After all she's been through she'd love a home of her own. 
 

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $495.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
