Charlotte is the sweetest thing you will ever meet!  She is a 1-year old border collie mix. She came to her foster with a lot of fears & constantly demands to be as close to her people as possible.  Charlotte was in a hoarding situation, but is well socialized with people.  She has some skin infections & has been getting frequent medicated baths to make her comfortable. She loves to snuggle on the couch or sleep under foster mom's desk while she is working.  She was not kennel trained when she arrived, but within 2 weeks learned to go into her kennel on command (especially when a good bone or treat is involved) & will stay there quietly for as long as needed, plus she sleeps quietly all night in her kennel.  She has had a few accidents in the house, as she is still working on giving cues to go outside.  She does very well with slow introductions with other dogs, as long as she doesn't feel threatened by super dominant dogs, she has not shown any fear or aggression.  She plays with a lot of biting & growling, but corrects easily when play seems to be a bit too rough.  She is very food motivated, and will sit & wait for dinner after jumping around a bit.  We are working on sit, wait, down, off.  She is not food aggressive, although she does growl when she has bones or toys, but after a few weeks with other dogs, she is learning how to share nicely.  She is discovering toys & learning how to be independent while she explores the yard with the rest of the dogs.  She has met a cat & didn't show much interest.  She would be great with kids too, although she is a jumping bean, when excited, so little ones may not be a great fit.  She will thrive with basic training, regular walks, and tons of love!

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $495.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
