I am Happy and you’ll know it. Once you meet me I will show it. I am Happy and you’ll know it, apply for me! I’m a pretty typical puppy, except happier of course. I was born approx. 5/27/21 and am a curious, fun-loving, kiss-giving, wiggle butt. If I’m awake, my tail is probably wagging. If I’m playing, my rump is probably in the air. I love my people and my toys, my treats and my bones. I’ve met so many friends, yet I’m always eager to greet someone new, human or canine. If another dog is not so friendly, I might bark or just want to move on and don’t fret too much. I’m a good listener and look at you when you talk to me. I know my name and how to sit, especially for a treat! I’ll also hop right into the car if we’re going for a ride. I love cozying up in bed or on the couch, but am still learning how to relax in my kennel. It is so comforting to be by my people though, so I’m not used to much kennel time. And, hey, did you know about snow? Because I love it and am excited for more!

Since I’m a puppy, I’m learning many things and will need patience and direction. Potty training is a work in progress and I mostly know to go outside. Sometimes I remember to ring the bell when I have to go, but I forget every once in a while. I love going outside if my person or another doggie friend is around, but don’t like being outside alone and will wait by the door to come back in. I’m an only animal in my foster home, so I’ve played with other dogs outside but not inside. But I am always friendly, whether I’m leashed or running around my neighbor’s yard. I can be a little protective of my people and tend to be more dominant when I play, even with bigger dogs, but I keep it fun. I like playing chase, tug, and fetch. Sometimes I have so much energy, I start chewing on your hand. I hear that my puppy teeth are pretty sharp, so you’ll have to remind me to get a toy or a bone. I also love going for walks and am a pretty good walker. I can bark or pull on my leash when I get excited (there are SO many squirrels and bunnies in my neighborhood), but I generally like to keep moving and keep my nose to the ground. My foster home has been nice, but I am looking for a home of my own. I’d do best with a family that keeps me active, provides lots of love and guidance, can manage my puppy teeth, and is looking forward to lots of kisses.
