Meet Val! She is an eight-month-old, 38-pound, breeder release St. Bernedoodle. As a breeder release, Valerie grew up unused to all the normal household experiences. She warmed up to our household within a few days and is getting more comfortable and relaxed everyday with new noises, movements, and being in an active home. Her personality is easy-going, gentle, quiet, and a sweet natured girl who wants to be with her humans. She is beginning to play with toys and enjoys jumping around in the snow. Val has had a few accidents in the house, as she is still working on giving cues to go outside. She does better with potty training when taken outside on a regular basis and given praise as she’s currently not treated motivated. Upon meeting others, she becomes cautious, shy and nervous as well as sometimes stress poops. As she gains confidence with meeting strangers and new environments, we believe this behavior will improve. Regards to travel, she needs to be lifted into the car but rides well. She likes going for walks and walks nicely on a leash. She is kid friendly (12-year-old and 15-year-old) and is cat friendly. Her foster family thinks she would be dog friendly too, but there isn’t a dog in her current foster home. She sleeps in her kennel at night in her foster parents’ room. Except for the first night, she has been quite throughout the night and waits for her foster parents to wake up in the morning. During the day, she prefers to sleep on the floor next to her foster mom while she is working, but she will also sleep in her kennel. Val is not a big fan of going into the kennel, but once in, she whines for a few minutes then settles down and is content. With continued crate training and time, she should get more comfortable going into her kennel. When her foster family is away, she is in her kennel and quiet when they return. She is lower energy and enjoys being home with her people. Val would be a great addition to any family. Apply to meet her today!
