Miss Pamela has been a delight! She is our first foster puppy and she couldn’t be any easier or fit in any better. She was found as a stray on a reservation and is thought to be about a 9 month old Feist mix. She has a very calm, sweet personality and does great with children. The first day with us she just wanted to be held and melted into our arms. She now happily greets her people and wrestles like a champ with the large male resident dog (no exposure to cats yet).

She is doing well with housetraining and has had very few accidents She doesn’t seem to take care of business when out for a walk, she prefers to do this when back in our yard and off leash. We are guessing she wasn’t walked on the leash much before. She does well following the resident dog when we are out for a walk. If she doesn’t have another dog to follow she likes to stick close to the walker, almost too close, because she tends to be a trip hazard. She likes to be touching our legs as we walk, especially at night, when she seems a little nervous and wants to stay close. If a large dog walks by she will try to stand between our legs for protection but does not bark or growl and does well once introduced.

 A couple nights she whined in the kennel but has now gotten the hang of it and spends the night with no issues. She would rather be lounging around and hanging out with the family but doesn’t seem to have a problem spending time in the kennel, once we can convince her to go in with treats!

We have not been on any longer car rides yet but the short rides she is a calm girl sitting nicely in the backseat.

Pamela likes to play and wrestle in the snow and chew up her stuffies and any stray sock she can find. Her favorite thing to do is lounge somewhere near her family member. She always gives a warm greeting and loves to have her belly rubbed, but then she will park herself somewhere near our feet and it is nap time.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $550.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
