This is Kayak, a 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix who was found as a stray on a Native American reservation. Kayak is a sweet boy with a lot of puppy energy. He loves to play outside in the snow and go for walks. He gets excited when it’s time to put his leash on because he loves being outside! He would love a family who is as active as him. Kayak enjoys all types of toys, but he thinks blankets are also toys because he will chew on them and rip holes in them. He is trying to learn that chewing holes in blankets is not nice. Even though Kayak has some puppy chewing habits, he is highly intelligent and a quick learner. In just one week, he has learned his name and a couple commands. Kayak does well during car rides and ok on a leash. He loves walks but gets nervous when he is taken to unknown places such as the vet. Kayak does not like going in his crate, so he is not fully crate trained. He can sometimes be lured into his crate with a treat, and once he is in he will whine for about 5 minutes and then be ok. Kayak is house trained and will sometimes whine to let his humans know that he has to go outside to potty. Kayak has so much love to give and is ready to go to his forever home!!
