Loki is a small 3-year old Chihuahua mix - weighing just under 11 lbs. when he arrived. He is partially house trained and does well with treats for rewards. He wears a pad overnight to avoid accidents while we are asleep.    Loki is kennel trained and does well in the kennel for short periods and overnight. He seems to sleep peacefully, if left alone.   Loki is very shy when meeting new humans. However, his sociable nature is immediately noticeable with other dogs. He is playful and gentle. He is also good with cats. If the cat is willing, he may play with them too!  Loki has not been around many children. He did very well meeting with a pre-teen (15 y.o.) and any adults.   Loki seems to have a hard time eating in front of other dogs. We have been feeding him separately and this helps to prevent his food scavenging / hiding behaviors. Loki can walk on a leash, but is skeptical and may tug on the leash occasionally. Loki has a moderate energy level, but enjoys naps throughout the day. He rides well in the car and has a submissive demeanor.   Loki loves to cuddle, play with chew toys / rope, and playing in the snow. We have left Loki in the kennel for 3-4 hours or overnight (8 hours). He does well in the kennel or out overnight.   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
