Baby Jane is a one-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix and weighs 48 pounds. She has heterochromia which means she has two different colored eyes, one blue and one brown. She is an absolutely incredible dog who will make an amazing addition to any home and will be your new best friend.

She loves everyone she meets and is great with kids, other dogs, but can NOT be in a household with cats. She is a great cuddle buddy and has no problem climbing right into your lap or laying on top of you while watching a movie on the couch. We let her sleep in our bed, and she is a bit of a bed hog but just wants to be close to us. She wants to be around her foster mom and dad, and human sisters as much as she can and will happily escort us around the house as long as she can be with us. She loves attention and will try to steal it if you are giving any to other animals; at times she may grab your hand with her mouth very gently but will be redirected.

Baby Jane is very mellow; She does just fine in a crate and will stay quiet, although we have not left her for longer than an hour or two so far but I think she would be fine. She loves the car and will happily ride with us to and from school or dance practice, she will hop right in and out of the car on her own. She is interested in toys, but does not seek them out very often. Our other GSD is a bit defensive of her toys and Baby Jane took her queues to not mess with them.

She will bark at the UPS man along with our other dogs but is easily redirected. She has great recall and we are working on "sit" and "stay" right now, she's picking up on these queues really well. She initially had a few accidents in the home in the first 24-hours, which was not unexpected because she came in as a stray. However, she has quickly caught on to our routine and is letting us know when she has to go outside, I also let her out every few hours as I work at home full-time. She may need some time to adjust to her new routine at her forever home.  At night, she occasionally will need to go out once, but will sleep through the night as well. She does fine during bathtime with some support, and can't quite get the hang of standing up straight yet (I think she thinks she's learning to ice skate in the tub!) but does not complain.

Baby Jane will make an amazing addition to a home that will love her and give her all of the snuggles and attention that this lovely girl deserves. She will fill your empty lap and your heart with so much love!
