Hello!

My name is Thor, but my foster mom calls me Teddy (and sometimes Theo) because she thinks I look like a teddy bear!  And I guess I do, and I am very fuffy and soft, and I’m told over and over again, how cute I am I'm was born 12/18/21.  My mom is a beautiful 44lbs Catahoula mix.  I am a gentle soul and I look out for my puppy brother Cosmo who lives with me here.   Anytime we go out to potty, he always lingers before coming back in, and I will wait on the deck and watch him and sometimes give him a single bark that it’s time to come inside.  I love living with my brother.  We wrestle a lot and sometimes my foster mom has to check to make sure we are still playing, which we always are, but we make noises (squeaks and grunts) but we never hurt each other.  We also like to snuggle with each other. I would be good in any home.  I am a regular puppy who likes to chew on everything, but I am very redirectable.  If I start to chew on clothes or hands or cords, my foster mom easier redirects me with a toy and I am happy to follow her wishes.  I love getting kisses and snuggles from my foster mom and I give her kisses back and sometimes want to chew on her hair, but it’s only because I love her so much.  I have been around a cat and I didn’t seem to mind.  I had never seen one before.  I didn’t chase him or show any aggression.  If given more time I likely would have tried to play with him.

I am good to sleep in my kennel at night and I might whine for a minute or so, but always settle in and go to sleep without really any fuss.  Sometimes I sleep in the crate with my brother, but sometimes I sleep in my own.    I do like to snuggle, but I also like a little space and I usually just walk across the room to my favorite mat.

I do well with potty training.  My foster mom takes me out a lot (about every two hours) and I do go potty outside and if taken out enough I don’t have any accidents in the house. My bladder is small, so right now at 7 weeks, I need to go out a lot.  My foster mom says I am doing well for such a young puppy.  And every time I do go potty outside, I get 2 treats when I come and I LOVE treats!! 

I don’t bark now unless my foster mom is taking too long to give me my treat after potty or I am trying to get my brother attention, otherwise I am quiet.  My foster mom thinks I’ll be a great family dog.  That I will be gentle and cuddly, but also like to be active, and if I could have a playmate that would be so great!  I’d love to meet you.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
