Meet your new best friend, Barney, a Heeler mix around 55 lbs born approx. 8/17/21. After a tough start to life, this guy deserves nothing but the best. He is absolutely adorable - just look at those cute ears. He will make a great family pet and is also amazingly well behaved for still being a puppy!

 

Barney is always happily wagging his tail and wants to be with his people. Barney is great with kids and loves his 8 year old human friend. They will frequently snuggle up together on the floor to share a blanket. Nylabones are Barney's favorite chew toys. He sometimes gets confused and grabs a shoe, but with a little redirection he is getting the hang of it.

 

Barney likes to be outside, he doesn't seem to mind the cold too much either. He wrestles in the snow with his sister, a large Golden Retriever. They have a blast! Barney has some chicken hunting instincts and enjoys walking around the coop to see what they are doing and if they want to come out to play.

 

He is potty trained. He's let out regularly or he'll let me know with a little whine when he needs to go out.

 

Barney is really good in his kennel all night long. He might cry just a tiny bit when he first goes in, but then he doesn't make a peep.

 

Barney has learned to navigate the carpeted stairs with ease, but is still wary of the wooden ones. He doesn't understand a leash yet, but we are working on it. Barney is food motivated and will be easily trainable and super smart! Apply today so you don't miss out on this great dog.
