Meet Sweet Zion!  We call him Wally. Zion came in as a breeder release and was possibly used for breeding his whole life. He is approx. 5 years old and 24 lbs. He was scared and shut down when he came to NDLB but has made major improvements. Zion attaches to his human pretty quickly and won't let you get too far away. He loves to cuddle. After 3 months now in his foster home he started playing with toys, he loves tennis balls and will fetch them, He loves to roll around in the bed and just being an all around dog finally!  He is starting to play with his foster siblings especially another female beagle! He is starting to understand what this good life is supposed to be! Love, in a home, pets, toys, bones, family, walks, food everyday! He still gets a little scared of things out of his norm but to be expected! He does not mind the car rides just the different places are still scary! I try to take him with me when I go places to get him used to other surroundings and he is starting to come around! He is mostly potty trained but is still lifting his leg, so for now I redirect him and keep a wrap on him. Zion would love a human to cuddle with all day and be lazy! He does ok with other dogs but will gently let them know if they are too close to him or if he just wants space or doesn't want to share his human! Zion is kennel trained at night and during the day when I am not home. He will bark a bit but settles down. He has been staying out of the kennel at times when I’m at work and I can check in on him through the pup camera and he is usually curled up on the couch!  He has been around kids and enjoys the extra cuddles. He is in a home with cats and does well with them. Zion is your all around chill dog who needs someone with patience and can give a lot of love!  Will you be my furever family?

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
