Lilah is a female terrier mix, born approximately 6/25/21. When she first came to us, she was quiet and reserved, but has quickly come out of her shell! She is a joy to have around and is very affectionate. She is house trained and can be left for several hours before needing to go outdoors. She loves being outside and literally leaps for joy as she runs around. Because of this she may become distracted, so give her time to finish her business :) We did have just a couple accidents prior to recognizing this. Lilah does not like kennels and we haven’t pushed it as she does well free roaming in the house. It is, however, a good idea to have a nice selection of toys or she will find something else to play with. She loves all dogs (as long as they are tolerant of her – she loves to play) and warms up quickly to strangers, but is unsure of children. She is not a fan of my 5-year-old grandson, but doesn’t bite. She just doesn’t want to be near him. In our home Lilah has especially bonded with our son’s cat who is just slightly younger than her. They can wrestle and chase each other for hours. She is an ok eater. At first we had to add a little soft food to her kibble, but she is doing better. We have also found a treat that she is fond of and I think will work for doing some training with her.    Lilah is ok in cars if on a lap, but is a little uncertain of them. We are unsure of leash walking as she just enjoys running in the yard. She stays close as she does not like us to be out of her sight and she comes when called. As it warms up, we will start going on walks.
