Ready to meet the sweetest girl ever? Maggie Jane weighs 50 pounds and is estimated to be a 2-year-old bloodhound mix. She is happy, loving, well-adjusted, and playful. Maggie is fast friends with everyone she meets, including kids and strangers. At times, Maggie can be excitable (she's a wiggle butt), so dog-savvy or older kids would be best. Maggie is a great mix of lazy and fun. She spends most of the day sleeping, but during play she is very high-energy and goofy. Her favorite play style is wrestling with one of our resident dogs. We have another dog that is grumpy and Maggie responds well to his cues and leaves him alone for the most part. We think Maggie would thrive with a playful and confident dog in the house although another dog is not required. She loves bones and stuffed animals! Maggie is completely potty trained! Sometimes she sleeps in bed with us, other times she sleeps in her kennel. If someone is home, Maggie does just fine in the kennel; however, if she is left alone in the kennel, she will bark for ~30 minutes. For this reason, she would do best in a detached home or with someone that works from home/is retired. Maggie walks well on a leash, but once she’s done, she’s done! Short walks around the block would probably be best so you aren’t having to carry her home. She is well-mannered in our fenced yard and doesn’t seem to be bothered by cars, people, or other animals. She does not do well with cats or other small critters. Because she was a stray for so long, Maggie has a need for freedom! She will require a fenced-in yard in her forever home to ensure that she is safe. Maggie Jane is truly the most wonderful girl! Her floppy ears and brown eyes are sooo cute and will definitely win your heart.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00
