Hello!  My name is Usher and I am a fun loving sweet little husky mix puppy born approx. 1/8/22.  I’m about 14lbs and I am slim, but I am growing fast.  I have a beautiful white/yellow fur coat and it’s super soft.  I also have pretty blue eyes, or at least that is what everyone says when they meet me.  I am so very sweet.  I love to play, but I also LOVE to snuggle.  Right now, I live with my brother Nelly and get to wrestle and chase each other around in the backyard.

I like to chew on things, like most puppies, but given a toy I redirect fast, and my mom says I am smart.  I also know the word NO! and will stop any behavior when directed to by someone saying my name and that word.   I do also know my name, but that doesn’t mean you can’t change it.  I do come when called and I know how to sit.  I learned this in 1 day!!  I was motivated because I love treats and to get a treat after going potty outside, I have to sit first.  So, now I know how to do that.

I am mostly potty trained, and I can sleep in my kennel all night without an accident.  I do cry a little bit at first, but usually only for a minute or two and then I go to sleep.  Right now I share a kennel with my brother Nelly and I love snuggling with him.  

I am shy for about 30 seconds when meeting someone new and I usually just stand close to my foster mom and when she tells me it’s ok, I wag my tail and meet the new person and love them immediately. 

I think I would do well with another dog in the house. I don’t show any food aggression.   I am learning what a leash is, but I don’t really like it yet.  So going for walks is something I need to practice, but I am sure I will get it because I love being outside.

Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination if age appropriate, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $595.00

We are 100% volunteer based, so on occasion it could take more than the standard 24 hours.
