This is Bailey James, a 9-month old yorkie mix. Bailey James is a sweet and friendly boy, and he warms up to new people almost immediately. He absolutely LOVES people and other dogs. We are unsure how he is with cats and children. He has a lot of energy and is almost always ready to play. Some of his favorite activities are running around outside and playing with stuffed squeaky toys. He also loves to follow his humans around the house and cuddle with them. He is very affectionate and loves giving hugs and kisses. Bailey James is not house trained or kennel trained yet. He wears belly bands to prevent him from marking, but we are hoping the marking issue will eventually resolve now that he has recently been neutered. If he is left in his crate or home alone, he will whine for a long period of time. We have left him home for up to 4 hours by himself and had a camera monitoring him, and he whined on and off the entire time. He will also chew on blankets and pillows if left unattended outside of his crate. Bailey is a barker. If he spots someone when looking out the window or hears a loud noise coming from outside, he will start barking. Additionally, people need to be cautious when opening doors that lead to outside because he is quick and would run out the door if he had the chance. He runs fast in our fenced yard and thinks of being chased as a fun game, so if he escaped it may be hard to catch him. Bailey does well on a leash, but he has a hard time standing still when it’s time to put it on. He is just a ball of energy! He does well during short car rides. Bailey’s new family will need to commit to training him on all the basics, but it will be so worth it as Bailey is a great companion with a lot of love to give!
