Jill is an incredibly sweet 15 pound Doxy mix. We guessed her to be 1.5 years old but the vet things she's closer to 3 years old. We don’t know much about her past, but it has left her extremely timid, especially with men. She needs very slow introductions to adults, but doesn’t seem to have any issues with little ones. She gets along well with other dogs. She’s very quiet, but will occasionally howl when her favorite human (our daughter) leaves the house. She is mostly potty trained and does well on a schedule. She uses a kennel when we are gone, which she doesn’t love but will settle down after some fussing. She sleeps in our daughter’s bedroom at night. She loves to explore outside and go on walks. She will need some leash training, but does great with a harness. She is a flight risk due to her high fear level, so a fence would be best. She’s learning how to play with toys, working on basic commands, and figuring out what things in the house are for her and what things are for the humans. She’s very smart and food motivated so should be fun to train!
