Hi. My name is Ziti. I kind of had a rough start to my life early on but now I'm doing great! I was born approx. 4/17/22. I
have a wonderful, silly personality and I'm sooo cute - just ask anyone who has met me. I haven't met a person or another dog that I haven't liked. I
even like cats, which I kind of have to because I live with 2 of them! I currently live in a second floor apartment - an apartment that is above a horse barn. No horses in the barn though they are outside. My foster mom has done a good job socializing me over my short little life so far. I currently live in the country but for a week we stayed at a friend's house in town to babysit their dog and I think I did a pretty good job adjusting to the different noises and learning to stay in the yard. I have met lots of other dogs too and boy do I like the ones that want to run and play with me. I have spent time by a lake - I kind of like all the different noises and smells there too but not so sure about the water yet. I am not a barker except when my person returns home. I guarantee you will know just how much you were missed if I become part of your family. I am working on the not jumping up but I'm just so excited to see my person! I would say that I have mastered potty training - as long as you pay attention to me. Sometimes I just go sit by the door and wait for my foster mom to bring me out; other times I will hit the bells that are hanging on the door - especially if I have to poop. I really liked it when we were in town and all my foster mom had to do is open the sliding door and let me out. I loved being able to lay outside on the patio but still see my "mom" inside the house. I know my name, sit, and what the word "come" means - some of it is probably selective hearing but when I'm outside there are just so many fun things to smell and to chase that I don't always come when called the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd time but I'm getting better. If you have my attention then that's a different story. I have learned that I need to sit nicely for my food and to take treats gently - and I love treats so I learned that pretty quickly. I'm also learning
that I need to sit and wait instead of running out when the door opens. My foster mom works from home most days and when she is working I usually snuggle up in my doggy bed or at her feet. I'm learning to like my crate, I just really don't like being left alone. So far I think the longest I have been left alone is about 6 hours. There are times though when I surprise my foster mom and I will go in my crate on my own and take a nap so I'm learning it is a good place to be. I do sleep on the bed at night snuggled up by the pillows and I tend to sleep through the whole night! I love my toys, especially my stuffed animals and tennis balls. I also like the toys that food or treats are put in and I have to work at getting the food out. I'm pretty good at entertaining myself but I like to play with my people too and other dogs! I haven't chewed up anything that I'm not supposed to but I do like to grab your shoes and bring them to my bed - and if I get into the bathroom when you are taking a shower I like to steal any clothes that are within reach...hehehe. Just a few more little tidbits about me - I love car rides, I'm treat motivated, I like to chew on baby carrots, drag around blankets and towels, and when you sit down I WILL want to snuggle up next to you, at least for a little bit just to show you how much I love being with you! I'd love to meet you!
