Hello my name is Jax.I'm approx. 2 years old and 75 lbs. I came from the reservation in South Dakota and I am loving having a better life than I did there. Before I was rescued, I was shot in the elbow that led it to break and heal incorrectly. So due to that injury, I will need my forever home to know that I will need really good weight management. Other than that injury, I am the perfect gentleman. My kennel is not my favorite place to be, but I will go in it. I go in my kennel to eat and while the family is away, but that's about the extent of it. My foster mom usually has other fosters kenneled while the family sleeps, but I do not. I am allowed to lay on the dog bed on the floor with the resident dogs. Since being in my foster home, I have not had a single accident or tried to mark anything. I am house trained too. I don't chew on anything I'm not suppose to chew on. I have some energy, but not a lot. I would prefer to lay on the floor and lounge. There are kids in my foster home and I just love them all. There are other kids that come over too and I just love them too! There are cats in my foster home and they are pretty good. I don't pay much attention to the cats. There's other dogs in my foster home too. I sometimes play with them, but I would prefer to be around you the whole time. I am very well leash trained as well. I walk well on the leash and don't pull because I would rather be walking by you than pulling to go somewhere else. I do not like thunderstorms. I was in my kennel when there was a thunderstorm and I barked and tried to get out of my kennel. When we had another one after I was able to stay out of my kennel in the room with my foster mom, I am good. I just will not go outside if it's raining. I love to go for a ride in the car. I just look out the window and enjoy the rides. I am usually left alone for about 8 hours a day, but when the kids are home for the summer, I am usually out of my kennel and with the rest of the family. I am still a very sweet and wonderful boy who had a bad beginning of life. I am looking for someone who wants to have a lifelong relationship with me and be my partner for the rest of my life.
